Mona Turner

A professional artist, Mona Turner holds a BFA with distinction from Concordia, and has worked as an architectural illustrator, teacher and ‘agent culturel'.
A figurative painter working in oils, she often depicts everyday objects out of their usual context. The sense of mystery evoked by this dislocation provides an endless fascination for Turner. She shows regularly in the Montreal and Ottawa area, and has served on the executive committee of the Artistes Hudson Artists and of the Hudson and Region Studio Tour. |
Mona Turner détient un bac en beaux-arts avec distinction de l’université Concordia.
Tout en étant attirée par la peinture figurative, il se glisse toujours consciemment dans ses oeuvres un élément d’ambiguïté ou de tension, une recherche de sens du mystère. Turner expose régulièrement dans la région. Elle est membre du groupe Artistes Hudson Artists et participe à la Tournée des ateliers Hudson et région, et a oeuvré au sein des comités exécutifs de ces deux associations. |
