Gary Munro
Born in Montreal in 1949; grew up in Greenfield Park, graduated from Sir George Williams University in 1972 in Mechanical Engineering (with distinction).
He first studied with Evelyn Strougal (B.F.A.) in 1975 in oil painting. After his first exhibit at Kirkland Library in 2005 he met Peter Law a professional watercolour artist who he studied with for some years.
Gary's watercolours are vivid and beautifully detailed unlike the traditional watercolour. He now does both oil and watercolours and his works show a vast skill.
He now resides in Saint Lazare and is a member of the Lakeshore Association of Artists.
He has exhibited at Kirkland Library, Stewart Hall (Art Rental & Art by the Lake), Fritz Farm and Galarie D'art Pointe Claire.
