L’Association des artistes du Lakeshore (AAL) est un organisme sans but lucratif qui a pour mission de promouvoir les arts visuels et de soutenir les artistes semi-professionnels et professionnels de notre communauté. Nous mettons en valeur le travail de nos artistes et contribuons à la vie culturelle de la région par l’entremise d’activités artistiques, d’expositions, d’occasions d’apprentissage, d’initiatives communautaires et de projets caritatifs. Depuis sept décennies, l’AAL offre aux artistes un lieu où créer, exposer, échanger et inspirer, tout en partageant leur passion pour les arts visuels avec l’ensemble de la communauté. |

The Lakeshore Association of Artists (LAA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts and supporting semi-professional and professional artists within our community. We showcase the work of our artists and contribute to the cultural life of the region through artistic activities, exhibitions, educational opportunities, community initiatives, and charitable projects. For seven decades, the LAA has provided a place where artists can create, exhibit, connect, and inspire, while sharing their passion for visual arts with the broader community. |

1956–2026 · Soixante-dix ans de patrimoine artistique
Soixante-dix ans d’inspiration En 2026, l’Association des artistes du Lakeshore célèbre 70 ans d’art, de communauté et de créativité. Depuis sept décennies, l’AAL réunit des artistes, leur offre des occasions d’exposer et de partager leur travail et contribue à la vie culturelle et communautaire du Lakeshore. Cet anniversaire célèbre non seulement l’histoire de l’organisation, mais aussi les artistes, bénévoles, partenaires et membres de la communauté qui ont contribué à façonner l’AAL au cours des 70 dernières années. 70 ans d’histoire 1956 11 artistes se réunissent pour créer l’Association des artistes du Lakeshore. 23 octobre 1956 La première réunion de l’association a lieu. 1960 L’AAL présente sa première exposition extérieure à Stewart Hall, à Pointe-Claire. 2026 L’AAL célèbre 70 ans d’art, de communauté et de créativité. Célébrer les personnes derrière notre histoire Un 70e anniversaire est bien plus qu’une célébration d’organisation. C’est une célébration des personnes qui ont contribué à écrire son histoire. Nous rendons hommage aux membres fondateurs, aux générations d’artistes qui leur ont succédé, aux bénévoles qui ont donné de leur temps et aux personnes qui ont contribué à faire grandir l’association. 1956–2026 · Seventy Years of Artistic Heritage
Seventy Years of Inspiration In 2026, the Lakeshore Association of Artists celebrates 70 years of art, community, and creativity. For seven decades, the LAA has brought artists together, provided opportunities to exhibit and share their work, and contributed to the cultural and community life of the Lakeshore. This anniversary celebrates not only the organization’s history, but also the artists, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who have helped shape the LAA over the past 70 years. 70 Years in the Making 1956 11 artists come together to establish the Lakeshore Association of Artists. October 23, 1956 The association’s first meeting is held. 1960 The LAA holds its first outdoor exhibition at Stewart Hall in Pointe-Claire. 2026 The LAA celebrates 70 years of art, community, and creativity. Celebrating the People Behind the History A 70th anniversary is more than a celebration of an organization. It is a celebration of the people who made its history possible. We honor the founding members, the generations of artists who followed them, the volunteers who gave their time, and the supporters who helped the association grow.
